What is the recommended method of loop prevention for EXOS and EOS at the user port? STP + SpanGuard?
Edit: I may have an answer in ELRP it seems. I'd still like some opinions, though. I'm not against running a no-STP network (since that is what I inherited), but I need good options to prevent user loops and uplink loops/link convergence.
Like I said, right now we're a mixed bag of EOS and EXOS running mostly S and K series on the EOS side (all other EOS will be replaced) and X440, X450, and X460 (all G2) on the EXOS side.

Terren,
it depends on what you are running in your network and what version of code you are on.
if you are using netlogin the answer could be different.

We are not using netlogin.
Code versions for EXOS include: 21.1.1.4, 22.2.1.5, and 16.1.1.4.

Hi Terren,
On the EXOS switches you can configure and enable ELRP to detect loops, and take action according to the configured options. Please refer to the following GTAC Knowledge base article for more info:

Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Andrew
