Extreme Management Center 8.0.2.42 Legacy Console Errors out starting. The User Connection Service is unavailable. Have already restarted the server. This is an appliance so it is running some form of Linux. Need to start this service, but I am not a Linux guy. I am setting this up in my lab as I need to install for a client and just want to kick the tires first. I have done many of the Windows installs with no issues.

https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/Solution/Common-Issues-Unable-to-connect-to-NetSi...
Specifically: NetSight Java error: The User Connection Service in unavailable. You may need to restart your NetSight ServerResolution: Remove the local C:/users//AppData/roaming/NetSight direction and delete the Java temporary files.
I run into this in my lab pretty frequently when jumping between versions of 8x and 7x. Usually just clearing Java temp files does the trick, but if not clear both the Java temp file and remove local NetSight files from the PC.
Thanks

Hi Tim/Terry,
Did you get a chance to try out the steps in this article?

In addition make sure that a local firewall or security software is not blocking the connection.
