Cancel Scheduled Firmware Upgrade on WAP

Cancel Scheduled Firmware Upgrade on WAP

Hi,

Where do I view the scheduled Firmware upgrades of WAPs on the ExtremeCloud IQ. I need to be able to see these and then cancel them if required. I've looked all over the Cloud IQ , user guides, and this forum, but haven't found anything.

Can someone point out how I see the scheduled upgrades and cancel them.

Thanks

Hello @Paul_Kyte,

When you schedule a firmware upgrade / Config update, those are executed right away so you will know which APs have this done by looking at the audit logs icon for the configs which should be green. The schedule is really for the reboot process since nothing will take effect until the AP is rebooted.

To cancel a scheduled update/upgrade you can follow these instructions:

Hello @Paul_Kyte,

Agreed! I would highly recommend that you put in a feature request through your account team so that our engineers do include this in future releases: https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000111522

I wish you the best of holidays and a Happy New Year!

Hi Christoph,

Thanks for this. When I tried a WAP yesterday I saw that it immediately copied the firmware onto the WAP and therefore concluded there was just a timed reboot. The perplexing thing is that there isn't a display showing all the WAPs (or any other device type) that has a pending reboot. I can't tell if anyone else done an update with timed reboot, or a timed reboot for anything else. It would be good if there was a column on the devices display for pending reboot and then an option to cancel this.  I'm not sure why Extreme haven't included this.

Regards,

Paul
