LACP & PXE Boot

LACP & PXE Boot

Sanktis

Hi we have a Maas Server System

We need PXE Boot to Onboard new Server Systems with 2 Nics.

Issue:
Got a Server with 2 Nics to an Exos.
Boot the Server over PXE Onboarding
Reboot System and Provisioning Server with Ubuntu and LACP Configuration on that 2 Nics.

So the Idea was to Configure the Ports on the Exos Switch 1 & 2  with LACP and Fallback Mode.
But if i am Enabling the Sharing with LACP the PXE Boot is not Possible anymore.

Configuration done so far:
enable sharing 1 grouping 1-2 algorithm address-based L2 lacp
configure vlan VLAN_0100 add ports 1,3-4 untagged
configure sharing 1 lacp timeout short
configure sharing 1 lacp fallback enable

Is anybody out there with the same requirements?
I will ask here bevore i create a TAG.
EXOS Version 32.7.1.9

Thanks Florian

Hi Florian,

I'm curious if you're having more success with a shorter LACP fallback timer.
The default fallback timer is 60s, so if the PXE boot process 'completes' before the LACP fallback timer allows the port to pass traffic, PXE may not work successfully.

The command is:
conf sharing <Port> lacp fallback timeout <secnods>
<seconds> Fallback timeout in seconds (0..100, Default 60).
