Hello,
We are currently using a BD X8 switch with the Advanced Edge License for core switching functionality. The switch is connected to a SonicWall firewall (IP: 192.168.20.1), which serves as the default gateway for internet access. All VLANs configured on the BD X8 are currently routed to the internet via this default route to the SonicWall.
We now have a requirement to introduce a secondary firewall, pfSense (IP: 192.168.22.1), to handle internet traffic for specific VLANs. The pfSense firewall has been configured and is operational.
Objective:
Route internet traffic from selected VLANs through the pfSense firewall (192.168.22.1), while the remaining VLANs should continue to use the SonicWall (192.168.20.1) as their default gateway.
Request:
Could you please advise on the best approach to configure on the BD X8 to ensure specific VLANs use the pfSense firewall for outbound traffic, while others continue using the SonicWall?
Thank you.
