Will not renewing TAC support for the Core/Premier license affect the operation of an Extreme X465 switch?

Licenses that go onto the switch itself (eg: [edge, adv. edge, core] or [base, premier], and feature license packs like AVB/MACSEC) are perpetual and do not expire.

The only switching related licenses that 'expire' are subscription management licenses (Pilot/Co-Pilot/Navigator) for use with XIQ/XIQ-SE. Even then, the expiration of these licenses will not break existing configuration but will prevent future management through relevant platforms.

However, note that without a TAC support contract, you won't get much troubleshooting assistance if you ever run into any issues or bugs.

No, the license is, as far as I know, always perpetual. Not renewing the support is just that, no more support. The functions the license has unlocked will remain. I X450 switches almost two decades old that have core licenses and would still have the associated features enabled if I booted them.
