During upgrade some customer EWCs to latest V9.21.15 and later it see that "Guest Portal" Mode is sometimes no more available.
On / Till V9.21.12 is see on every (regardless if existing or new) WLAN Service - "Guest Portal" as Authentication Mode available. Upgrade same system to V9.21.15 / 9.21.16 (or 10.x) "Guest Portal" mode is not available anymore - except on WLAN services that are currently runnning in "Guest Portal" Mode.
Currently active on this WLAN service - OK
Other or NEW WLAN Service - no Guest Portal is available :
Why ??
While some testing i realized that if "Guest Portal" is configured already one time on a wlan service it is not available for other WLAN services.
Is that a aim that "Guest Portal" should be only active on one SSID ?!
Yes on most scenarios it is enough, but i ask myself why does the developer introduce this limitation ? Additionally in the middle of 9.21.x software trail - without any notice in release notes etc?
Someone able to ask my question and makes this a littler more transparent ?

Hello Matthias, in my opinion there was always only one guestportal in older releases, too.
Regards
Stephan

It also took me a minute to unterstand the meaining of the term WLANS.
I've never seen this acronym used for "WLAN Services".
I've requested a change - let's see how "important" our feedback is 🙂

OK - after several minutes thinking about these misleading sentence (from my understanding) - i think i get it:
Only one WLAN-Service on one VNS can be configured for Guest Portal.
I love this kind of extreme documentation ...
