Scanning barcodes on AP3825i

We've got some new AP3825i's and I'm trying to scan the barcodes with the serial number and MAC addresses on the back to put into our asset system, but our barcode reader just can't read them. Has anyone been able to successfully read the barcodes on the back?

If I remember correctly, there's a small sticker on the box (~1" x 1") that can be removed and re-applied somewhere else. That's the sticker that my barcode reader won't scan. It includes the serial number and MAC addresses.

Do you think it's not reading because the barcode itself is too small? Are you having this problem with all APs?
I just want to determine if it's a problem with the barcode reader or if there's a problem with the barcode itself.

Yeah, I can read the barcode on the box, but that only has the serial number, and means I have to keep the box around while I scan it and then scan the asset tag I put on the AP. If I could scan the barcodes on the back of the AP itself then it'd be easier and I'd get all the information.
