No syslog messages in the Console after update to netsight 5 virtual appliance

Some Days before I've updated to from Netsight 4.4 Windows 32bit to Netsight 5.0.0.259 64bit Ubuntu appliance. Al is working fine but I don't see any syslog messages in the console. They are visible in the /var/log/syslog file but not in the console.
