Hi,
I have downloaded the latest released firmware for the x670-G2 series switches, summitX-31.7.3.37-patch1-54.xos, from the Extreme portal.
However, I also downloaded the most recent FW for our x460-G2 series switches, summitX-33.1.1.31.xos. This version, when uploaded to our CIQ-SE, shows as being available to install on our x670-G2 switches. Same with summitX-32.7.1.9-patch1-49.xos, though these two versions are not available when filtering on the x670-G2 in the support portal.
Is the CIQ-SE misreporting what is compatible for the x670-G2, or is summitX-33.1.1.31.xos actually the correct latest FW for this series switch? The FW versions for these 2 series used to be the same up until about a year ago, but has since diverged. I am wondering if this is still the case, or if the developers have both series on the same FW again.
Any info regarding this will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

What Chris said plus: hold your horses on 33.1!! Sure, you can try it (on the X460G2), but I'd advice against it in production. It's not that we've seen so many bugs in it (yet), it's more the fact that it is so new that the bugs haven't been detected yet. Use 32.7.1.9-Patch1-26 or even the latest 31.7 for critical switches. What is listed as "Latest Feature Release" is absolutely NOT recommended for production use in normal cases. Always refer to this page and use the "Maintenance Release" for production: https://www.extremenetworks.com/support/compatibility-matrices/sw-release-extremexos-eos

while the image-name might be the same (which may be what XIQ-SE is looking at), the x670-G2 chipset does not support 32.x or higher..
the removal of support for the x670-G2 is mentioned in the 32.1 release notes as well..
