Can the ATOM be configured as client mode and also L2VPN to extend the SSIDs?

I have been able to configure the ATOM to do L2VPN and it works but that is using the ethernet cable, if I do the client mode, it seems I can make the ATOM connect to an external WIFI, but it seems L2VPN stops working.
