My core is not learning the new routes from 670 in distribution layer

Running 16.2.4.5 I joined a 670 to an X8 core and while the 670 learned all the ospf routes for the rest of my environment the X8 did not learn the new routes (vlans) from the 670 or redistribute, any thoughts?

We just bought a new Black Diamond 8810 (not my decision). I need connect it to the old 8810 and setup VRRP. My question is: How do I physical connect the two? Should I use the ports on the MSM module? Do they make a module just for this purpose?
